We are officially four months into 2025, and maybe you are thinking about your Goodreads reading challenge. Can you hit the goal you set in January? Is it too small of a goal and easily reachable or too difficult to hit?

This year, I started with a goal of reading 100 books but quickly got too close to it (thank you, Audible, Hoopla, Libby, and my Master’s program), so I had to increase my goal to 150 books. Now, I am experiencing a reader’s slump or reader’s block and struggling to get through it. All I want to do is read and become engulfed in a good book, but I cannot seem to sit and focus on the page. I am a bit overwhelmed by my goal and have the itch to dive into a new fantasy novel. Each book on my to read list calls my name, begging me to read them.
Anyone else struggling with their reading goals this year?
