My Secret to a Joyful Life? This Tiny Daily Habit

What’s one habit that makes you happy? For me, it’s my morning routine (despite the fact that I’m not a morning person). Although waking up early isn’t my favorite thing, I find that giving myself time to wake up in the morning before heading out the door to work makes me feel a bit more like a normal person once I’m at work. Every morning, I wake up an hour before I need to get ready for work, allowing me to enjoy my coffee and read. This time helps me feel more whole and allows me to wake up before I have to deal with my normal day-to-day stresses.
