Wheres my writing spot?

As a poet (currently only published on my blog), I carry around my notebook EVERYWHERE. I mean it! My notebook (an off-brand Moleskine) and pencil case filled with my favorite Sharpie pen are always in my bag. Although I try to write a minimum of 20 minutes a day, I know that inspiration can hit me at any time (even after I’ve sat down and written for the day), and I don’t want to be unprepared when it comes. So my writing spot can be anywhere, but I have one place that my creativity seems to work the best and its in my car.

Many of mornings before work, I usually get to work a bit (thirty minutes) early to ensure I get a good parking spot and to avoid being late due to the horrid NJ traffic, I can always be found reading and writing in my car. Although I might be in the parking lot of my office early, I don’t head in until I have to, this way I can use that time to write for myself. I don’t know why but lately that has been the spot where I’ve been the most creative. It’s were my brain works best with words. Ironically, this post is not being written in my car, but typing a blog post on my phone doesn’t sound like fun to me.
