I’m starting to turn

Into a person I

       No longer recognize.

Now I’m cold.                              Unfeeling,

        A product of decades 

        of disrespect.

No longer the person 

Willing to accept 

        Raised voices and

        Unwarranted abuse.

A hard shell of a person;

No longer

         Weak,

         Quite,

          An easy victim.
