Dani's Writing Journey

As a poet, I’m always looking for more inspiration for my own writing and ways to improve my craft. From poetry books to memoirs of writers I look up to, always inspires me to write more. My current inspiration based read is an anthology edited by Diane M. Rabb called Writers and their Notebooks! The book has non-fiction works by fellow others about how they take advantage of journals.

I’m big on caring a notebook and pen with me at all times, the amount of Sharpie pens I currently have because I love how it writes is ridiculous, so because of this I like to see how other writers use their journals. It’s fascinating to read how others use their journals and reminds me that I need to continue to use mine on a daily basis, even if it’s just a diary entry because ever attempt to write is good practice for my poetry and short stories.

I’m only about 45% of the way done with the novel, I recommend any writer take the time to read the book!
