Hide a history
So vile,
So violent and
Covered in blood
Most choose to forget.

Borders are tales of
Abuse and misuse disguised
As state-of-the-art
Mental health care.

Electroshock,
The killer,
Its dial set to stun as the
The electrodes slither like
A snake through the
Hospital’s doors
~
Ice baths, with
Its melted toxins
Overflow down the halls
Like the ocean’s tides
During a tropical storm
To claim another patient.
